Faur Gallery

  • Website
Faur Gallery

Result:

The site has become a responsive minimal design web site interwoven with a complex internal link structure with multiple entry points, using only 3 elements, the black line, the red dot and the works themselves. The design and content of both the web page and the previous web site resulted in the following improvements in the six months following its launch:
32% more visitors
64% higher time on page
108% more pageviews per visitor
28.5% lower bounce rate

Story:

The Faur Zsófi Gallery in Buda is one of Budapest's leading contemporary galleries, which mainly promotes Hungarian contemporary art in Hungary and at many international fairs through its nearly 30 artists. For a very long time, the gallery communicated its artists and their works via the Internet with a simple WordPress site, but its design did not allow for the simple addition of new works or new artists. We designed the website together with graphic designer Kata Kerekes.

Challenge:

The website should host a steadily growing number of works and, in some cases, an increasing number of artists. The site should showcase both painting, photography and sculpture. You need to be able to clearly show the relationship between individual artists - works, exhibitions - and publications, as the Gallery regularly organizes Budapest exhibitions in its Buda gallery, takes part in international fairs and publishes publications by its artists.
